Welcome! (Ok, this post is really written in English)

*timidly waves at those who are using Google Translate*

Hi there! Thanks to fabulous Nihrida, my blog got hits from all over the world. I checked how the google translator worked and I agree, it is quiet funny. I hope you can at least get the general idea of what I am saying. If not, just enjoy the pictures!

I just wanted to point out two things: “Oje” means polish in Turkish and I am surprised that it is not translated. Someone forgot to add that word I guess. Second, we don’t really differentiate between he/she/it, we just say “o”. So, whenever I refer the polish as “o”, google translates it as “he”. Now, that is amusing! Just imagine what happens when I want to say "the polish is too thick but manageable" :)

Thanks for stopping by,

Öykü

  9. Hey Öykü, welcome to the blogworld =) I wish I discovered your blog earlier, it's always great to see another Turkish nail polish lover =) Here is an idea, why don't you just write your blog bilingual? (Weird coming from me who only blogs in English... I never thought in the beginning I'd get Turkish readers, I guess the opposite seems to be true for you =D)

  10. You might add a few English sentences about your mani and write the rest in Turkish. That's what I started doing and I liked it. Thanks to Zuzu and Nihrida for mentioning your blog in their posts :)

  11. Anonymous, I tried the link, but it looks like it is even worse than google! Thanks anyways.

And Trincess and Marjo, selam :) I really didn't think my blog would get noticed when there are so many great blogs out there. So I wanted to give it a try in Turkish, since I couldn't find one (that was before I discovered Zuzu).

I think I'll keep my mother tongue for a while and rely on the translator. I never knew blogging can take so much time and being bilingual would be even more complicated.
